I dont really understand the distaste for tech n9ne here. Idk i like some of his music. and i dont really like much from his label, and believe me i do get why someone might not like him, i do feel he gets kind of "samey" sometimes. But tech n9ne has some pretty fucking awesome songs. Some of you act like all he does is spit gibberish and thats just not true lol.

I think you're getting a little confused. Do you think Eyedea is a bad rapper? Because I'd strongly disagree, I fully understand him being an acquired taste tho. One of the most acquired in hip-hop tbh.

i listen to hiphop primarily for rhyme and rhythm, and if you can show me someone better at that than the artists I'm currently involved in, I will gladly migrate. until then people like tech and rittz are where to go if you're looking for what it is i'm looking for.

But like, how does being good at (a specific type of) rhyme/rhythm equate to being a top-tier rapper, and how does lacking that specific type of rhyme/rhythm equate to not being a good rapper.

Similar to most people not giving a shit about black metal lyrics and it being all about the riffs, hell even down to the (ridiculous) aesthetic he suits that.
