and you're greatly underestimating Wayne's popularity. he's not the best rapper out there or anything, but he still has a massive fanbase and can get played on the radio without having Rihanna on his songs. that's not a slight against Em, it's just the truth. Eminem clearly has a shitload of fans as well, but he's not as popular in the mainstream these days. Berzerk got a bit of play and disappeared quickly, The Monster was very successful, and I heard the other singles on the radio maybe one time each. Wayne's still all over the radio, the Internet, and ... everywhere, really. he dropped some poorly received projects recently, but let's not forget how huge the first week sales were for Tha Carter IV, which was only two and a half years ago. Eminem did well with MMLP2, but don't pretend Wayne's irrelevant.

This is some bullshit to be honest. Em has a way bigger fanbase than Wayne at the moment. His albums, except the carter ones, haven't been selling 'really' good which proves that his 'core' fanbase isn't as big as people make it out to be.

The Rihanna comment is also stupid considering that Belive Me's chart performance is really poor and Em has had hits like Not Afraid and Berzerk in recent memory that both charted well, and also got a shitload of radio play without any help from Rihanna lol

Wrong again. Em had the highest selling album of the year, selling more than Drake, Kanye and so on ..

Believe Me has slightly improved on the billboard charts yet it's still not even in the top20 after 5 weeks of being on itunes and a few months since it's release ..

If you'd follow other forums you'd know that Em is still the most polarizing figure in hip hop, whether it's bait/hate threads/comments or other shit, he's still everywhere. Even after he dropped his album. Even after all the hype basically died down. He's still the msot talked about individual in hip hop culture. Wayne has his hype atm, it will fade away again. Like it always does.

i just assumed Believe Me was a huge hit, because it's on the radio nearly every half-hour here, as are previous Wayne hits like Love Me, Rich as Fuck, She Will, and Lollipop. i very rarely hear Eminem now that The Monster craze is over. both rappers are still quite popular, albeit not in their commercial primes. i expect TCV to be a big deal on the charts, but we'll see.

Eminem ain't getting much radio play on urban radio stations, that's true. He gets more radio play on regular stations that play all sorts of music than Wayne though.

TCV will sell good, but the first single basically flopped though.
