With that being said, I was anticipating the track on ktt, not Tr. There's a thread with 140 pages and the song is getting a lot of hype on the internet which is crazy because Flying Lotus really isn't that mainstream

I like the track a lot (especially the instrumental, never expected Kendrick to rap over somethiing like that) but I definitely agree with this statement.

there was the same complain about Flying Lotus x Mac Miller or Flying Lotus x Killer Mike a few years ago until people started to realize one thing... the songs were made for his own instrumental albums. Some of the tracks don't even have any vocal on them.
But the instrumental is never that loud when Flylo produces for other artists (and Kendrick has 12 songs produced by this guy )

i don't like this song at all. What is kendrick even talking about throughout it? What is the overarching point or theme of his verse? What am i supposed to walk away from this song with? Replay value? Everything almost sounds cluttered as if too much shit is going on; not a big fan of that.

This is one of those songs are really gets me thinking about the future of hip-hop. Everything from the beat, the flows from both of these artists, and the vicious and relentless rhyming that's going on here really make you stop and think. Kendrick really has become one of the greats of this generation. Not because of the fact that he's on Aftermath or the fact that he worked with Dre and all that crap, but because he's able to renovate his rap style and somehow work with all of these really experimental and unorthodox beats and still be able to sound really consistent, witch is something I find to be really impressive.

I do believe that this is something pretty damn special, but I also know why people do not consider this to be anything out of the ordinary, which is understandable, but pretty irrational.
