Wwhat's wrong with the lyrics in MBDTF? Honestly, other than some lame puns here & there none of which detract at all from the songs the songwriting is pretty damn good. MBDTF is great mostly cause it has Kanye balancing his assholish tendencies whilst still being human and laying it all out in front of us, whereas in Yeezus he was almost a cartoon character at that point (still really like that album), I mean "Get my damn croissants!!"

Fair enough, I feel like I've heard enough Vernon x Ye. I'm all for it but if it were one of the two I wouldn't hesitate for a millisecond to favour Blake. I'm also all around a bigger fan of Blake. I mean, s/t and Overgrown are fantastic to me and For Emma is the only part of Vernon's catalog that I care about
