The Lost Tapes 2 — the follow-up to his 2002 fan favorite compilation — has long been Nas’ Detox, but on the 20th anniversary Illmatic, it looks like the hugely-anticipated project will finally be seeing the light of day. According to Billboard, Nas is planning to release The Lost Tapes 2 later this year on the newly-formed Mass Appeal Records once his contract with Def Jam expires.

lost tapes probably has nas best pure rapping but damn do some of the hooks suck. Whatever the case blaze a 50 is easily his best storytelling song and a top 10 hip hop story telling song.
