OMG the style this guy has, and I won't even mention his solo stuff, his rap styles on Stress: The Extinction Agenda are awesome as fuuuuuck. You probably know his verse on Bring It On, but also check out the whole Thirteen song, the way he utilizes his voice is crazy:

Hidin' bodies 'til the smell lingers
Until they pale as Renée Zellweger, when El sting ya
You feelin' like the braille finger, searchin' for the line
I’m first you stuck in last, rappers now suckin' ass
Full of new school niggas I wouldn’t fuckin' pass
They should flunk your class and dip low
They tiptoe and eves drop with both sleeves popped
Now please stop, you'll melt faster than a freeze pop
In a hundred degrees El’s sunning MC’s he pops
You better put that work in
I murk grins and kill grills, my steel peels
Then I peel wheels then skill feels like it heals ills
Like Benadryl pills, the hottest artist will feels chills
When I drop gems that play out like fans when you peep
These rhymes ain’t cheap, oh yeah I gets deep

when p monch spit verse like this let me know

Just out of curiosity, why do you fell that way? I enjoyed it more than W.A.R., but not as much as Internal Affairs or Desire.

I just thought it was incredibly bland and uninteresting. The "lyrical" tracks were just generic rappity rap and he wasn't even good at it. The "personal" tracks were just cliche, surface level emotions and terribly written. Also funny how the multis went away whenever he tried to talk about something serious.

i was posting those lyrics cause they're horrendous, not as proof of a lack of multis lol

rapid eye movement is the only track where the rappity rap works and Black Thought has a monstrous verse

Ah, yeah I can understand that for sure. There were definitely parts of it that felt very empty to me, and some bits that I found boring and skip. I don't listen to it regularly compared to Internal Affairs or Desire. I still like it, but I see where you're coming from on it.

To kinda go off of what SWA just said, but on a wider scope of the album, a lot of the songs felt like they weren't awful, but weren't great, they're just kinda on there.

It's 2 lines. It's not even bad, it just isn't outstanding. It's just there. That doesn't ruin a song for me.

That was just an example...the whole song is rly bad

yeah i guess it was more just completely average than terrible but average is kinda terrible to me at this point if that makes sense.

Yeah I get it. Average can be particularly frustrating if the musician (any genre) has shown that they're capable of doing much better also.
