This is gonna be trouble for Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, Schoolboy Q and everybody else on that label who doesn't sell big numbers. Say what you want about Jimmy Iovine, but he was the guy who brought 2pac, Snoop, Eminem, etc etc. to the game....... John Janick, the guy who is gonna be the new boss, background in music is being the guy who brought Paramore and Fallout Boy to the game.......... If you thought Jimmy Iovines was "Ruining" rap albums, just wait till this guy gets going......

Only Apple would buy such an overpriced-yet-unsurprisingly-mediocre brand. They fit together perfectly!

And poor HTC. They must be kicking themselves right now. They sold back their 51% stake to beats for $265 million a few months ago after it proved to be useless in attracting sales. If they only held on they would be $1.3 billion richer today

John Janick is chairman and CEO at Interscope Records. He founded independent record company Fueled By Ramen through which he discovered and signed a variety of major recording artists including Paramore and Panic At The Disco. Janick also served as Co-President of Elektra Records, where he was involved in launching the careers of artists like Bruno Mars.
