What albums help you when you're grieving or in a state of emotional pain?

Examples?
The one in your avatar for one.
It depends on the mood..... I went through really tough times about 2 years ago. Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska and some Jack Daniels got me through a few rough nights.
Jazz also relaxes me, anything from Davis, Mingus, or Monk does it for me.

Oh I see. Yeah I find both jazz and soul music to be very soothing.
You gotta check out Nebraska if you haven't. One of the darkest and most depressing albums ever. Shit gets me every time I'm feeling low.... It's all acoustic and eerie, sets the perfect tone.
