Reviews saying T.I is abt to drop his best album since King

Postby King Lance » Sep 4th, '14, 13:30

All the reviews from the listening sessions keep saying this

People who went to the listening session say it's his best album since King... I can't be mad if you say "Paper Trail>>>>King".. both are great albums Image

Reviews keep saying that he has a song on there with a similar drum pattern to ''the recipe'' which is just as chilled out. They say The two pharrel-produced tracks are on some funky james brown type style, there's a monster beat on there with ''king'' (sounds like it'd be the intro) which is honestly one of the best tracks he has ever done, (prod by Just Blaze or DJ Toomp)

that shit got me hyped Image

Hopefully About The Money is on it cuz it's easily one of the best songs this year IMO

Aside from New National Anthem, the singles have been... mediocre, so far. We'll see.

I feel his lyrics are stronger on paper trail overall. I like how emotional some of the songs are but at the same time you can bump all of them. I guess some of the production on Paper trail is a little dated but I love the energy he brings the songs on the album. To me there's not a single bad song on that album. His vocals are really clear so it all sounds extemely crisp to me. He just goes

his verse on swagga like us >>>

I like king too, just overall I feel Paper trail is better.

Why do you like King more?

yeah I guess Paper Trail was more relatable :-k

Lyrically he was on top of his game on Paper Trail and the content was on point the whole album. T.I. actually had a lot to say but I don't know...the production on King was absolutely amazing. Goodlife, Undertaker & Bankhead are 3 of my favorite tracks from TI and I feel like King is a more cohesive body of work.
Lyrically TI was on top of his game on Paper Trail but musically TIP was in his prime when he dropped KING (imo)

King Back
Im Talking To U
What U Know
Ride With Me
Top Back
Undertaker
Bank Head
Front/Back

Amazing music :y:

Yeah I feel you. I can definitely respect that. That's probably why I fuck with paper trail so much. I still feel it's musically strong but I definitely see the case for King being stronger musically. I really love What you know, Stand up Guy(probably a weird choice lol), and Top Back.

I can respect that :y:

Trap Muzik, Urban Legend and King are all better than Paper Trail

Eh, well see. After Paper Trail he kinda fell off. Haven't been impressed with the last couple albums at all.

Remember on Sputnikmusic's review about Heavy is the head saying....

"Review Summary: T.I.'s ready to make the album of his career, and this could very well be the stepping stone to his magnum opus."

Took it with a grain of salt at the time, but if what people are saying is true then maybe the dude was on to something. This defiantly makes me more interested in Paperwork then I was before, I really do hope it does deliver.
I'm tryna clean up my fuckin' image so I promised the fuckin' critics
