If this is gonna start, might as well start it off with a bang:

1. Illmatic is the most over-hyped,boring and musically underwhelming album of all time.

I feel ILLmatic fails to reach the extreme amounts of hype people give it, and was nowhere near as entertaining,interesting or great as one would expect from the praise it gets (Perhaps I haven't given it enough of a chance or listened to it enough but for whatever reason it just doesn't do it for me ; Though I reserve the right to change that opinion in the future if it changes for whatever reason.)

2. The Notorious B.I.G. and Big L don't have a large enough discography ( album wise) to legitimately considered GOATs

While Guest features/verses obviously play a part in determining how great an artist is/was, I feel quality and quantity (Quick clarification : quality over quantity, but quantity is still a relevant factor) of albums (solo,duet or group) are much more important factors. Only having 1 or 2 albums total (even if they are "classics" or amazing albums) is simply not enough to make a legitimate argument for {Insert name here} is the GOAT.

(Stuff released posthumously doesn't count as it isn't the vision the artist had intended it to be and thus doesn't represent them fully unless the song/verse/whatever is released exactly how it was last left before they were killed/died with no additional changes or additions.)

3.2Pac is not the GOAT, nor is Nas, Em, Jay.

Nobody is the GOAT simply because no such thing exists.


I obviously expect people to not understand or to disagree with some or all of the things I stated as well as my reasoning's for them.
