I just listened to that Good Morning Remix and then I heard this.

You'd think it was two completely different rappers.

It's not literally by two completely different rappers, but essentially it is. (in a way)

13 years is a long time.

The only line I liked in that song was "so when I knee you in the gut is the only time i'll say I need you"

Essentially it is because he has a different mindset now, back then he had to prove he was the dopest so he spit top level shit that made your fucking jaw drop every song he was on. Now he's already proved everything he had to a long ass time ago, the desire is gone he just makes random verses about how he mistreats hoes with punchlines for the most part. Some of them are pretty dope some aren't.

But it doesn't have to be that way.
I'm not asking him to go back to his 1997 self, that's not possible and it's not what I expect in any way.
But I just feel that he could do so much better in terms of creativity.
If you look at 25 To Life for example. It's one of the best songs he's released this year. A genuine idea, executed almost perfectly.
His attempts to revive the Slim Shady persona have failed miserably so far (except for a few songs such as Cold Wind Blows). Roman's Revenge is the worst song he's done this year and there's no discussion about that.
And this isn't saying he should do only emotional stuff, but he needs to find a completely new way to approach his "Slim Shady verses" and knock off the constant women-bashing and Young Money punchlines.

Well his style changes every album so hopefully he will, good slim shady like lines come every once in a while but the true slim shady style is forever dead. His RR verse wasn't even that bad Nickis wackness just ruins the song. His worst '10 verse was either Celebrity or Hello Good Morning.
