it's all up to you... if your goal is to always get better, I would suggest working as much as possible, but I understand you, I'm not always in the mood either, and when you're not in the mood, it's not really useful to try to make a new beat... but you can try to listen to music, or read about new things etc... to maybe spark your creativity or something

I see people saying they sometimes make 10-15 beats in a day... to me that's kinda useless, you're not learning anything, you're not being creative, you just do basic things that you already knew how to do... it's better to make one beat in a week, to push yourself and really make it creative, and perfect it (as much as you can) than making 15 beats a day IMO... well it all depends on what you want to achieve lol, but personally my goal is to always get better so that's my opinion :y:

At least in my case, I'm working on beats anywhere from 30-50 percent of my time when out of school, both during the week and weekends. But that's because I'm almost always in the mood for it.

As for gettin motivated... idk. When ever I hear a sick beat it makes me wanna do somethin. Or maybe listen to a beat and try applying something that producer did to what you're working on or somethin.

and mart finished before me.. I agree with what he says about it bein better to make one dope beat in a week instead of 54684684 mediocre to bad beats

yea exactly, i agree with you...

i always want to improve, but i figured i'm not in the mood most of the times is because i just dont liek doing it or somethign?

i can always make some beats, but my bests come from when i'm in the mood.. so usually i just wait till i'm in the mood.. i can't wit for a break, so i can stay an all nighter lol

thanks a bunch guys :sweating:
