can I use it

thanks, glad you liked it. the reason for the Asian vibe-ish-ness to it is because secretly i love traditional Chinese music.

as long as you're just foolin around i don't mind if you use it for practice or somethin.

aite man here ya go

Drums needs to be louder, especially the snare... I'm guessing you haven't mixed this song, because the piano hits are way too loud haha. i like "asian instruments" like dulciemer... so i really liked the main melody and the flute was nice but i thought it was panned a BIT to much to the left and it made it feel real empty on right.

I like this, these are the type of beats that i secretly like but i dont make them.

great job, just needs mixing...

thanks man,
yea i thought the flute (it's actually a piccolo :sweating: ) was too panned as well but didn't feel like changin that, i would if the beat was actually gonna be used. as for the piano hit, i meant it to be loud, it fits the idea i was goin with and kinda personal to me :sweating: . the drums sound loud enough with my speakers and headphones  . as for the mixing, i rarely ever mix my beats for the simple fact that they aren't used by anybody. also, i find the actual patterns to be a higher priority than the mixing, not that mixing isn't important. just that all the mixing in the world can't fix poorly made patterns.

thanks for feedin :y:

True, but like Quarterbacks, all QB's need to be talented or they wont' be good, but a QB is A LOT better if he's talented and has smarts. so what i'm saying is if you mix it, it might be a lot better.

mixing to me is just making it look neat and tidy. like ironing a shirt.

here you have a great shirt, disigns are hott, the stitching is perfect and look they even put a little bit of a silky texture to it. the only flaw? it's wrinkled.

walk into an interview with a wrinkled shirt and you prolly won't get the job. but hey, the shirt is nice regardless.

so, make a unmixed beat and nobody will use it. who cares? i don't. i never planned on making beats forever, i don't want to use them, i dont' care if other people don't want to. i don't make them to be better than everyone, just to stretch my creative muscle. i don't see the point. however, you and Mart have plenty of people using your beats. so i can see where mixing would be a must. but not in my case.

nice job on this beat, it's original compared to what I often hear on the net, and it kept me interested :y:

I would agree with Tash about the mixing tho, to me sound quality is important, but it's not the case for everybody... it's kinda like people who record with a cheap mic, some people don't mind it, and others only pay attention to that... obviously I would suggest trying to practise your mixing, but it's your choice :y:

again nice job on this beat

thanks man, glad you liked it. i felt it was original too. i'm trying to focus on that alot. which is why mixing hasn't been my main concern, although i do see where you and Tash are comming from. and i may mix things better in the future. it's just a little further down my list of priorities at the moment.

thanks for feeding, thanks to Xray too, glad you also enjoyed it. :y:
