I need some equipment help

Well i got this gift certificate for my birthday for 100$. And i wanted to start a little recording thing.. like just a mic or whatever to start rapping what can i buy and where? e.g like a microphone from radioshack help is appreciated

I got a real nice mic from radioshack for 20 bux, and it has pretty good quality.. mics usually dont matter as much as your soundboard.. so make sure you have a good soundboard in your computer then any decent mic will have good quality

how do i noe what soundboard i have? and whats a good soundboard?

well i think i got it in may.. it was custom built from a professional computer engineer guy.. cos mie mom noes ppl well yea so it not that old.

aite then ur soundcard shouldn't be too bad, on this 20 dollar mic i got i used it on a soundcard from 2002 and it sound decent, but on this computer it sounded good...

well make sure the mic can fit in ur mic slot of ur computer, and idk the mic i got i can't find it now lol but it was probably the cheapest one there at 20 bux
