hey yo, I'm gonna do some talking in front of the class (whatever you call it in English :S) and I got to convince the people something, ofcourse I didn't know what to convince them and I just chose that Hip-Hop isn't just racism and cursing for 5 minutes. for that I'd like to play about 30-60 seconds of REALLY GOOD hip-hop. I was thinking about something like Good Die Young, where they curse, and say the word Nigga, and so I can prove it is 'racism' to there own race, and where cursing is just frustration, and not being 'gangsta' and shit, thnx if you can help :D

show them the prospective between westcoast ganster rap and the eastern rappers that were doing neutral hip hop at the time.

Show them the "dont sweat the techinique" album by rakim, wich goes deep into politics.

U can also show the reason they say wat they say on record.

U said u needa convince them: ur not gonna convince nobody playing one song.

I mean disscuss and give examples, tell them about ganster rap than put on Brand nubian, to show that there was rap without racism and constand degradation.

I gave u rakim as an example simply coz he barely uses any cuss words and speaks knowledge in his rhymes.

Its up to you to decide what to play.

No matter what you try, I doubt the teacher will see it as anything other then you taking the easy option and it's not something you'll be able to convince in 5 minutes when the media and hip hop have been battling over this for years.

If you choose to go ahead and do hip hop, 'I Try' by Talib Kweli should fit, or a similar track by an actually talent rapper. ;)
