Been there once in 2010. It was fun, but after some days it got a bit boring, so drove out of Venice, and came back at night.
One thing that was fun was that when I saw this certain building in Venice, I was like "wait a minute... I've been here before... If we go left there, there will be a huge tower too", and I was right... It kept bothering me because I felt like I had been here before, even though it was my first time in Venice.
Then I realized... it was in the game Assassin's Creed 2. I was like
