for mixing i use
Audio Technica m50
-great neutral sound you want for mixing, comfortable, ear-cups bend well for easy use. $150 is a good buy
for everyday listening i use
the new Bluetooth Beats. huge improvement from the original Studio's. while they still favor base more, the mids are much improved. i cant go back to the old studio's after these. Bluetooth is so convenient and the added features are nice. i dont recommend buying them at $379... so many better options. but i get half price where i work
and for gym use, i use
Bose ie2. best fitting in-ear ive tried, they stay in well and are very comfortable. nice base for in ears, mids may be a little low... id recommend the $100 simply due to comfort and staying in while running. but again i get em half price so they were a steal
use to use
honestly best sounding buds ive had, just terrible wire, and very uncomfortable. you must use the memory foam tips in hopes of they staying in. but you gotta lift your ear, then drive them in. they were originally $400 then got discounted to $165 last i knew. not sure if i recommend... get a new cord if you do, they have replacement parts which is nice
