hey coleon, just wanted to point out that for those type of mics, you have to record "in front" of them. THe way you placed your pop filter, it looks like your rapping at the top of the mic (it's hard to describe in words but hopefully you get what I mean). Basically, you need to rap in front of the green light. Maybe that's what you're doing already, but just thought I'd let you know, cause if you don'T do that, your sound quality will probably be messed up

Is that a condenser mic? You probably couldn't have afforded a ribbon mic, huh? That's the shit you want, a ribbon mic, but not until you're signed to a record deal...

thanks, I'm trying to get my stuff set up good too, I'm trying to think of how I can put my mic somewhere so I can stand up and record that way.

good advice man, had no idea come to think of it, that's pretty obvious and now I feel pretty dumb

and as for my setup, it's basically an audio-technica AT4040 plugged through an M-Audio Tampa Pre-amp. I don't use it much tho, just to record guitar and sometimes some percussion.

your mic it is correct, mine is not, it's supposed to record in an upright position
