I personally love the track. True thumper. Dark, atmospheric production, eiry, overwhelming tone - It's what he does best and should do more of.

And as rightly pointed out in that article he used his lyricism for a bigger and better purpose. That should be his next true evolution and should of been for Encore. Turning his attention to things outside of his own life.

Because as great as he is, that's my 1 true criticism of him. He's the most self-obsessed lyricist to ever live. He could do so much more now if he just turned the spotlight onto something else.

Personally, I don't like the track that much. The delivery kinda makes me wanna change song.

I love the beat though.


EDIT: After listening to the song for the first time in a while, I must say, I love it.

I didn't say he was or should aspire to.

My point was not to try and enforce change through his music but to THINK BIGGER. Think outside of his own life and create art. Political or otherwise.

As he proved with this song, when he does do that, he comes into his own.

I like it.

I don't feel like he should jump any deeper into politics however because he's said himself that it's not his strong area. Nothing worse than somebody taking about something that they have no idea about.

I'm not a fan.

Dre comes out with this fantastic thumping beat with the sound of rain in the background and it's all set up for Em to release a lyrical onslaught with tons of passion. But he doesnt - he comes out with simple rhymes, boring delivery and nowhere near the passion I expected.

The beat and the little intro are the only bits I properly enjoy. Coulda been a great song.

Stuff in the BG (Rain/Thunder and shit) is fuckin' sick.
