Really good review :y:

I love the message of CWYWF and the concept of MD.

Edit: forgot to add that the first verse of MD was weak.

The end of the verse flowed (is this a word?) well into the next one nicely, though.

Well I really wanna hear King Mathers, it annoys me that I won't ever hear it in its entirety with those songs (Beautiful included) in the mix, playing out as they should, amongst the real coinciding tracks.

"My Darling" is a genius concept yeah but think how much better he could of pulled it off if not so fucked. I mean I know that adds something to it.

But I wouldn't really say both songs shit on half of Relapse.

I really like CWYF and he actually has a nice rhyme scheme going on. But I can see what he means, everything feels slow and sluggish and self-loathing.

Still, if he was a real artist and really wants to represent his state of mind in his art each time, he should of put out KM because that was his situation at the time. Why should it all be perfection, I think it would of been kind of special to get a really fucked up dark, atmospheric album at that point. Because it would of felt real as he was really going through it.

But in the same breath, if that had happened, we may not have ended up on Relapse 2 now and this is sounding like it's gonna trump everything and he's really going all out. And he's developed his lyricism to something else now so.. Every cloud.

these songs are not that good, they feel like, well.. incomplete :-k Both beats are weak imo. The hooks are not good too.

^ I do, CAB was his #1 single % OTS is a must-have Dre collaboration on every album.

^ but OTS was meant to be that collab from the start, CAB was a late add after WMY failed to blow up.
I still find it funny that 2 collaborations are 2 worse songs on the album.

I'd rather listen to MD and CWYWF than Must Be The Ganja, Crack A Bottle, Old Times Sake, Insane, We Made You, Bagpipes and Beautiful

I don't like the songs at all. His rhyming is horrible, his voice sounds lazy and unemotional. The beats suck, there are honestly nothing I like about either song. The subject matter/concept of the songs aren't even good. If these are the best two songs from King Mathers then I am so glad he didn't release that album.

I have never liked My Darling that much, just haven't really. Careful What You Wish For I do like quite a lot but it feels short with those 2 verses and saying that Encore and Illmatic bullshit sort of puts me off the song at times.

About the Old Time's Sake thing. That song was the song which hyped me up for the album, Crack A Bottle felt under average, We Made You felt extremely disappointing as the first single and 3 A.M. felt like a load of rubbish so when that came out even though it wasn't Eminem at his best it was still catchy and got my attention. I got motivated after that.

My Darling & Careful What You Wish For, are the best songs in terms of flow and voice, reminiscent of ancient times

Whhhhat? Why just because he's using his normal voice. His flows are slow, sluggish and off-kilter on both of them.

Every song on Relapse shits on them in terms of flow. I don't know how you can prefer the slow, predictable flow of those vs. Bagpipes... or Stay Wide Awake. Totally energized, pin-point, perfect.
