Instead of making a poll of a list of role models, icons, or your favorite rapper or artist..I'm just going to let you answer and so everyone can see the results...try to explain why aswell...If this has already been posted sorry...I haven't noticed anything but selections and polls...and a limited area...of choices...

So who is your favorite role model, icon, rapper, whatever you want to call it..??? And why???

I don't really have anyone to look up to. I mean I look up to my parents, to some ppl who have achieved something in their life but I try to find my own way through my life. I don't want to copy anyone, I don't want to do the same things they've done.. Of course, they show me that there's nothing I can't do, but still.. I don't want to copy their life..

My parents? Well, they brought me up and they still do it, I love them n my lil brother more than anything in the world, they showed me priorities, but that's the only thing they can do. They can't show me how should I live, they can't do it for me. I've got to do it on my own, realise my dreams and my plans.. The only thing I want them to do is support me..

Who's next? Eminem? May be, he made it, he realised his dreams, showed that the only thing you need is motivation and determination, but I'm not gonna be 2nd Eminem.. He has been through shit, probably not comparible to my life, because of the time we live in now, because of the hood, because of the family he didn't really have.. Same goes to every other rapper..

Eminem: Why am I a fan?

eminem is the most diverse artist ever. not just in the rap scene, but throughout the whole music industry. eminem is truly one of a kind.

who can make songs and videos like "the real slim shady", "without me", or "just lose it" and then come back with singles like "the way i am", "cleanin out my closet", and "like toy soldiers"? i think it's just so amazing that he can shift from these different "personas" and people will still accept him.

and who else can rhyme as well as em? "poster child" with "closest pal", "birthday" with "first place", or "father" with "prima donna"? as i look back and recall all his songs, i don't understand how people can deny his lyrical talent.

it's obvious em's got the music and performance down. but what about the personality? (something 50 cent, usher, and other artists can't achieve). eminem is one of the most humble, grounded people in the entertainment world. he does not walk around, flashing diamond jewelry or spend all his money pimpin out his ride. he is not boastful or bragful in any way, whatsoever. if anything, em makes sure he gives credit to all the other rappers before him, that gave him the ability to do what he does.

and on top of that, eminem has priorities. sure, he loves music and rappin is basically what he does in life, but eminem is also a family man. he's a wonderful dad and cares for his children very much. he was quoted saying that if he had to choose between music or his kids, he would drop rap in a second for his family. that's hard to find in the normal world, let alone in a man that's in the entertainment industry.

so whenever i say eminem inspires me, i mean it. whenever i say eminem has changed my life, i mean it. whenever i say i love eminem, i mean it.

I love my mother to death. She has alwayz been there 4 me and will continue on to do that. she is one of the strongest people ever and not afraid of anything. she is gentle, caring, loving, beautiful and all that sum1 wud need...that is y i Love mY mother
