You're wrong there, he swallowed a lot of pills. I don't know if it was an actual suicide attempt or if he just didn't "give a fuck"

He lost the rap olympics and then when he got back to Detroit a record deal fell through so he was so depressed he wrote the song then took a bunch of tylenol. He didn't overdose though, he just ended vomiting all over himself. Its in The Way I Am book. He didn't outright say that he wanted to kill himself, he said that he was just so depressed and was in a 'fuck it' frame of mind.
