Since I think you're a vet on the site it goes without saying you have many multies and internal rhymes which always makes a piece better.

I felt the 4th bar could have used a better word than "step" and that making another word that followed that line's rhyme pattern would have matched up nicely with the previous lines "Devoured, powered, sour".

Otherwise dope, the closer was nice, maybe you could take out "you're" before mislead..but it's up to you.
