Wasn't into hip-hop as much as i am now when Relapse came out, but i bet there was a lot of bitching about that accent(even now i see those type of messages over some tracks on youtube). My favorites from Relapse are
My darling
Underground
Deja-vu
Beautiful
Hello
Music Box
Crack a bottle
Taking my ball
Careful what you wish for
Psycho
Not to mention he didn't used that accent all the time. But it seems that even tho he keeps saying he doesn't get on internet much and stuff, he does"hear" what fans think about his albums.Don't think he should have appologized for his previous albums,it's what he felt like doing at that time, nothing to be sorry for :shakehead:

(With honorable mentions to some other songs but these are the best)

2008-09 Wasn't such a bad year for em after all if u think about it! (To me relapse is even better then recovery but that's not what the thread is about...)

It's that Relapse ain't as bad as Eminem made it out to be

Fuck my last CD that sits in my trash/ That last Relapse CD was ehh/ Encore was on Drugs Relapse I was flushin em out

:shakehead: @ Em

No "Same Song & Dance"?

The Genius moments from the Relapse era are as follows:

Second Half of Second Verse of 3 A.M
3rd Verse of Stay Wide Awake
1st Half of third verse of Taking My Ball
Last verse of Respect My Conglomerate Freestyle
Last half of third verse of Elevator
First half of third verse of Buffalo Bill
3rd Verse of Music Box

Hah yes, Bagpipes From Baghdad isn't that good overall, but the third verse.. :o :worship:

How the hell can he all of a sudden start rapping about raping "brain-dead lesbian vegetables" and converting them into heterosexuals... in such a hilarious way. Utter genius.

In general I like those songs of his that build up into a climax, so that before the final verse the song is "good but not great", or "great but not THAT great" etc... Music Box is an excellent example, even though that whole song is very good.

Stay Wide Awake
Deja Vu
Same Song & Dance
Buffalo Bill
Drop The Bomb On 'Em
Must Be The Ganja
My Darling
Elevator

Stay Wide Awake gives me goosebumps and not because it's meaningful (lol) or because it scares me but the beat is so eerie + what Em says is the perfect combination for the one of the best horrorcore songs I've ever heard.

Deja Vu is fantastic rhyme-wise and content-wise. Similar to most TES material.

The rest are great and outstanding tracks from that era.

3 a.m.
Beautiful
Insane
Same song and dance

The story telling of all four tracks is just amazing, no doubt. Underground is up there too but I've lost interest in it recently.

Actually this thread makes me happy cus it is only 1 ½ years ago that Eminem made those songs so I'm kind of hopeful that he can come up with something like this again. The story telling, flows, rhymes, charisma, everything.... and the beat picking!!!!!
