If you write songs, please help me out with some problems

Just answer these questions, please.

1.Have you ever had that feeling "Ok, I've written on every topic that I know of. There is nothing left for me to write about?" How do you get out of that feeling? I mean, c'mon. How many topics can rap possibly have to write about? Where you're from, love, bragging, etc. Help me out with this, guys, I'm stuck.

2.How to make the chorus sound more like singing? You know how (for example) in The Real Slim Shady, or Without Me, Em goes from rapping, to a kind of more singing-melody type chorus. How should I come up with shit like that?

Overall, I just can't think of anything. I sit sometimes with a pen in my hand, nothing coming out. Help

I've had the same problem you have with number 1 many times before... nothing really happens for me besides having writers block for a period of time until I get some type of inspiration...get out in the world and try to find some!

1. Nah, not really. I mean, I would always thin that there's something I've not written about. For example, I've not written about "umbrellas", "illuminati", and "egypt". But if you ever think that you've got nothing mroe to talk about, write an essay/composition. Write a story.

2.Delivery. Since you're asking bout audio right now, I'ma say, delivery. The Real Slim Shady wouldn't be dope if it's just text. But other than that, naturally it's the content that plays a huge part. As long as it's something that everybody/most can relate to, it's working. And interaction, finally. Interaction attracts the listeners. In Without Me, he's actually TALKING to his listeners in the chorus asking them to "follow" him.

And it's just Writer's Block. Refer to number 1.

Take a break and go get some exercise. Change your music selection, and don't think about what you need thematically. Use parts of your own life story, memories, feelings, jokes, anything real. This just helps you get out of a rut. Write what's real and don't try to sound like someone else. Write poetry, this can be a major help with hooks. To me my poetry is my rap and music. It just changes with my moods and feelings. For example if I'm in a great mood, all wound up why in the world would I try to write a love song even if I'm in love? That doesn't flow
So just be you And if that doesn't work eat a bud brownie. That always made me write the dopest shit that has that up tempo vibe to it. Or if that doesn't work get drunk. That is always interesting to edit -

1. not at this point, I just write down whatever ideas I think would work in a song and turn them into raps later. if this is really a problem for you then try a different subject that you're familiar with, add on to previous work and make it better or wait till something happens in your life that you can write about

You somewhat agreed with me on the rapping what's real, familiar...
And writing down whatever is just how I write.
Waiting for something to happen takes too long, unless youre a criminal og so that's why I suggested bud brownies or getting drunk... That's making shit happen in your life ha ha

The only problem I have with editing old stuff when you're at a road block is that it doesn't let you move forward, unless you want to go back

Oh and ya always sing the hook over the beat.
