Despite being released halfway through 2010, the seventh studio album from Eminem strolled straight into our chart in sixth position, with comeback single 'Not Afraid' notching up nearly 1.8 million scrobbles.
'Love The Way You Lie', which featured vocals from Rihanna, beat even that figure with an incredible 2 million scrobbles over the year, while the video starring Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox attracted 6.6 million views in its first day online.
Other big names to make an appearance on the record included Lil' Wayne on 'No Love' and P!nk on 'Won't Back Down', while Dr. Dre returned to the producer's chair for 'So Bad'.
Recovery debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, hanging onto the top spot for an impressive five consecutive weeks and confirming the Detroit rapper's status as one of the most important artists of the past decade. He's also the only artist to appear in the Best of 2009 and 2010, leaping up twenty seven places from 33.
In total, the record received 9.6 million scrobbles during 2010 - hopefully Eminem will get the message that there's no need for his slippers and pipe just yet.
