They're actually the complete opposite. YNO is celebrating his life, whilst Difficult is mourning his death.
And I prefer Difficult too, I just feel like his Proof dedication has to be sad and the track feels much more human. YNO has that fucking pop beat and I just don't feel it, despite it's lyrical brilliance.

That made him believe in me, now no one can beat me now
Those opening bars are fucking great. Pretty much sums up the whole song right there. He's going pretty crazy with the rhymes in the first verse, just what Proof would've wanted: off of this course/all for the sport/talkin' awards/balls in my court/balls in your shorts/jaws on the floors/stoppin' the force/moppin' the floors/droppin' the torch/knock on them doors/up on your porch

Yeah that opening line is great but then lines like...
So y'all can just get to bloggin' about bologna
I'm not gonna stop, the saga
Continues, no stoppin' the force Obie
Just Blaze and me we are knockin' them doors
Just have no place in the song lmao. They're the type of things he would say in an average battle-rap song. It should all be about Proof. I mean come on, a dedication to your best friend that you've tried over and over ti get right, and you mention bloggers and the track's producer? That's tacky.
Also, it's not the actual 80s sample I have a problem with.
It's just something about Just Blaze's production there, and all those producers that sounds 'cheap' to me. Em uses live instrumentation and comes up with new melodies etc. and even Dre's... I don't know, I'm not a producer - all I know is, Em / Bass Bro / Dre beats sound like real music to me.
They sound 'full' and loud, they sound proper. Where as that beat sounds like... toy music.
