Over on the Digital Songs chart, Dr. Dre bows at No. 1 with "I Need a Doctor" (featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey), selling 226,000 downloads. "Doctor" follows Dre's "Kush," which premiered at No. 36 in December with just 45,000; earning its best week in the following stanza, with 67,000 at No. 22.

#5 is probably its higest peak, I don't think it could go any higher in future seeing it's losing steam fast on itunes now. With no airplay, no promo, no sale I'm afraid the song gonna be forgotten soon. Of course there's grammy ahead but with no airplay the affect can only last for a week or so (and gaga's new single which will be performed at grammy as well will take over soon too)

Maybe this is a sign that Dre should never drop Detox, it's not gonna satisfied everyone musically anyway & I smell a flop commercially.

I saw it being a flop on radio from the moment it leaked (last year), the hook is top 40 friendly but the screaming verses from eminem are not, and the subject matter about bromance is what most people careless, if interscope thought they could have a big radio hit from this than they're dumber than I gave them credits for.
LTWYL has Rihanna, catchier & more relatable verses from Em, that's why it worked. Space Bound is more relatable as well, I think it could blow up with a boost from video.

I don't know if some people are just so fame hungry or they are so spoiled by Eminem's success that everything that doesn't reach his standard is a flop. Dr Dre is no Eminem. He's a 45 years old hip hop producer that's about to release only his third solo CD in his career for God's sake.

Do you seriously think the success of INAD is not good enough for a music producer that doesn't even write his lyrics? Go ask Timbaland or Pharrell Williams what they would think if their single had a number 1 debut on the digital charts.

There're dozens of acts whose singles will never sell third of it. Yet they have fans and supporters that are looking forward to hear their new music and that would never said an artist should never drop a CD because it might not become a commercial blockbuster. If music is about sales and nothing else for people, I feel sorry for every artist out there.
