Despite going home without the big prize, Hiatt suggested that Eminem focus on what his loss might actually represent, which is a sort of coronation of his comeback. The rapper was nominated, an obvious nod of respect, but perhaps his being shunned was recognition in and of itself.

"In a way, Eminem should treasure the fact that he didn't win, which means he's still dangerous," Hiatt said.

He's saying he should feel awesome because the Grammys are still too scared to give him the award.

I know but does any one actually think hes dangerous any more. He did a song with rihanna he lost that persona after mmlp and has yet to get it back.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, the Grammy Awards are based on votes by members of the entertainment industry. And my guess is that the proportion rap-related "members", is certainly a minority. Also, most of these "members" are often past their prime/"have-beens". And rap artists are definitely not profiting from this fact. How many rap-albums have won a "album of the year" grammy?
Would like Em to recognize the Grammy dismissing of the genré rap on his next album. Let's create some controversy, Em!

I'm not surprised he didnt win. The grammys have always had a large bias for Country and Rock. They always seem to choose the super obscure rock/country group to win.

2. Maybe a Little Afraid?: Eminem has 13 Grammys now, so it's not like the Academy just likes to tease him with nominations or anything, but...maybe they do a little. He had 10 chances this year and ended up hitting the Mendoza Line, leaving only with wins for Best Rap Solo Performance for "Not Afraid" and Best Rap Album for Recovery, his fifth win in the latter category. Still no Album of the Year, however, in three tries. No wonder he looks so pissed off all the time.
