They came, they were alright, they got good, anamation got better, they got old, they got tired then, around season 20, they came back better than before, I think, I literally love the Simpsons now just for the comedy. For example, a new episode now seems to have atleast 2 jokes in the opening few seconds of the show, be they silly and visiual or a piece of dialog.

Also that movie was funny, and more like the new Simpsons now.

The new episodes are silly, and as always, the jokes are smart... Today I half saw the episode where Bart learns of a prankster better than him and Skinner from back in day spends a long weekend shut in a swimming pool full of worms and that's why he's so bitter... I like the new episodes, and I like that it's wacky and it's sillyer now than ever, it seems, to me.

I watch both new and old episodes of The Simpsons, aswell as American Dad! Futurama, South Park and Family Guy... I'd rather watch The Simpsons sometimes, and other times, I'd rather watch South Park or American Dad!
