Do you understand that several thousands of people vote on this stuff? Not every person can like Eminem, and they don't have to. It is NOT a big deal. Em was still showed enough love to get nominated for 10 awards. That is huge. Not everyone can win, and a lot of people in other categories all deserved some love as well. I personally think Em had the best album in the category, but Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lady antbellum all had huge years as well so while you may not like them, you should respect them for keeping the industry alive with hits and music sales. The whole world does not revolve around Eminem.

Okay, obviously not every person is going to like Em. The point is, or at least the point for me is, that was the 3rd time that it happened. He deserved to get AOTY. And there was no reason to say "you people are so ignorant here."

There have been plenty of artists who don't even get nominated, and plenty who get nominated and never win. There are legends that do not even have any Grammys. Neil Young and Cyndi Lauper are juwst 2 of these people who have never won a Grammy. There is tons of reasons to say people are ignorant here, because it is disgusting reading some of these posts.

Okay, he is also not the only artist to be multiple nominated for AOTY and lose. Tons of artists have been nominated for AOTY and lost more than once. Kanye West was nominated 3 times for AOTY and lost each time. And almost every performing artist had their own ads on TV or were featured in one. I saw Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, etc.

I liked Dre's reaction after they announced Arcade Fire the winners. He sat there and turned his head to Em with a "who the hell" expression. Em didn't look, he just sat there looking mad like he always does.

holy shiiit LOL,,, i just went back and looked at my recording and it is VERY obvious both dre and em were pissed,,, eminem did not even move AT ALL he just stayed the exact same way as if they hadnt yet made the announcement and dre looks over at em and is just like wtf? yeahhhh its pretty easy to tell if u look at the video,,, em just literally did not move at all and did not change his facial expression at all

he mustve been pissed,,, he worked hard on recovery and probably wants to get that grammy before the end of his career,,, I'd be frustrated too,,,, arcade fire had a good album but COME ON,, recovery was WAY more successfull and the majority of people like recovery much more. The grammy awards should not be decided by their own personal tastes, u need to include how succesfull the album was and things like that and then add a little of their personal opinion into the decision. The problem wasn't Arcade Fire winning. The problem is that the dudes at the Grammys used Eminem's image in comercials and gave him 10 noms because they knew that would get him to be there, perform and of course get a lot of fans to watch the damn event. As a matter of fact this years Grammys were the most viewed ones since... wait for it... wait for it... yes 2001 when Eminem was also nominated for AOTY and when he also performed on stage. That's the reason I and most people I know are upset, I feel they just used him to get interest and attention into an awards ceremony that the last years had gone down the hill.

Exactly my thoughts. The Grammys had what, the highest viewers since 2001. The commercials were all about 'Eminem's big night'.
