a torrent is another p2p network like limewire basically. u just download the torrent and then open it in certain programs.

I use a program called Shareaza - http://www.shareaza.com/

But most used the official program - Bittorrent - http://www.bittorrent.com/download.myt

so all i do is download the program and use it to open torrents?
which one is better Shareaza or Bittorrent

yeh i would use bittorrent. it is very easy to use. all u gta do is open the torrent in bittorrent and it will start downloading

how fast do they usualy work for you guys...i tried one and it was slow as a fuck with a snail.

torrents are slow for me also :( it usually goes 5kb/s....i feel like i'm on dial up when i use torrents :tounge2:

i couldn't figure out what 2 do with the torrent so i just gave up i have a question how much memory does a average computer have is it about 60 Gb?

depends what you plan on running dude.60gb should be more then enough.If ya gonna save alot of files or play games u might wanna crank it up. :)

The bittorrent protocol has nothing to do with the p2p protocol.

Kazaa, limewire, bearshare and so on all are p2p applications.
And they all have another thing in common: They all SUCKS.

A computer you buy today have about 256 - 512 mb average memory.
