Straight From The Vault Song by Song Review

I skipped through the features. Em uses the same flow through out this entire EP, it pisses me off.

koolo - The people's Champ (intro): Faggot/10
Eminem - Get Money/Kanye's Glasses: 4.5/10. Boring freestyle.
Eminem - Emulate (ft. Obie Trice) 7/10 The verses are in the "Love Me" style off that 8 mile Soundtrack. I like it, it sounds unfinished though.
Eminem - Ballin Uncontrollably -5/10. Fuck off with that shit.
Eminem - Going Crazy (ft. D12): 5/10. Boring song, sub-par Eminem verse. It's probably one of the best verses on the EP though.
Eminem - Wee Wee 0/10. This is indeed worse than Fack. Holy shit.
Eminem - G.O.A.T 5/10. It's lyrically not that good and his voice is shot, its more entertaining than the rest of the EP though, and he rides the crappy beat well.
Eminem - The Apple 6/10. Other than Emulate it's probably the best on this EP. I like the hook. It also holds some good subject content, I guess.
Eminem - It's Been Real (outro) N/A. It's just an outro, and as such holds no replay value and it's just him singing 2 hooks and talking in between them. He sounds like he's about to cry. It's touching though, especially what he says to Cashis, but it's funny as fuck because Cashis still hasn't "gotten out there". Anyways, this is an important track in Em's career, and I'm actually glad it leaked. Koolo, thank you.

With all of this, I'm glad we didn't get King Mathers.

If you're going to review it, then review it.

Don't make another thread just for your opinion, thinking it's more indepth cos you put a /10 next to it..

And for the record, Cashis' album is coming VERY soon. Hope he proves a lot of this board wrong.

Still haven't heard this. Downloaded it twice, and both times it's said that it can't play the rar version :confusion: It's a new netbook and everything, i don't get it, so might have to wait til they get put out individually.

Isn't this the point of a message board?

Not when there's a discussion thread just set up.

Rating a song from 1-10 by every definition is more "in-depth" than saying "It's dope" or "It sucks"

And why the hell should I go more "in-depth" when it can be summed up in a sentence? This wasn't meant to be a "Review" anyways, I changed the title once the DL link thread turned into "Discussion"

I gave my reasons as to why I thought the song wasn't that good unless it was obvious as to why the song wasn't good. He uses the same flow through out the entire EP in the same drugged out, tired voice, it's just repetitive, and it's obvious that the lyrics were poor on nearly every song. I was just rating it on how good the lyrics are on each song, and where the flow was better. And am I supposed to write a paragraph as to why I think a song singing about Wee Wees is retarded?

And the "discussion" thread was just a DL link when I posted this.

Actually those are tracks that never supposed to be released so we are not even supposed to hear them if it wasn't for Koolo but listening to the tracks you can see how Em was depressed but still trying to prove that he still got NUTS in this rap game but songs doesnt have such confidince in it. In GOAT he tried to prove that he's the Best but being depressed and not having strentgh to keep on doing somenthing in rap he wanted to leave it on point that he's the best and on the outro track (it's been real) he was saying that he can't deal with this stress, it was kinda good-bye track like he tired and thats it, he was giving props to people from his crew and them for everything and that was it, he wanted to leave, I think that supposed to be something like good-bye album, his last joint. BUT you can see that those tracks are not really his best and production was eehh so thats why he never realesed it and after his drugs problem and rehab when he finally got clean, like he said he started to learn how to make raps again and that was Relapse, then when he proved to everybody that he still alive and back he continued to work on the album which shows definitely that he's the Best Rapper Alive and that is Recovery!!!!!! :y: :y: :y: :y: :y:

If I'm not mistaken, I do believe the song is about putting things on his wee wee.

Alright im good for it

Get Money freestyle 3/10 Not only was it the most boring song ever. It was also really bad. :n:

Emulate 8/10 This is actually a really good song. Eminem verses are incredibly dope. Obie's is not awful but Im still going to skip over it. Hook is meh

Ballin Uncontrollably 1.5/10 Don't have to explain this. (did spawn a lol thread though)

Going Crazy 6.5 I actually like Kuniva more then Eminem in this song. Em's verse is actually annoying because of bad flow and badly used anger voice.

As far as Im concerned there is no song in this spot

G.O.A.T. 7/10 This is a pretty enjoyable song where a lot of the lines were hit and misses. It would have been SO much better with a good beat. The hook is amusing on first listen.

The Apple 8/10 I love the hook on this song and I love the concept. If this song was cleaned up with a better beat and a normal voice it would be not only album worthy but one of his best.

It been Real NA How the hell does someone rate that.

Overall there is two really good songs. One good song. One meh song. And they might as well be the only songs

I honestly don't know why I think the Wee Wee verse is so funny. I want to be mature but it makes me laugh.

Got a dick and its as big as a banana.
I try to control it but i guess i can't.

Someone make me more smarter.

I like his Going Crazy verse, loved the Emulate verse, apple was meh for me, Goat was fun to listen to, I can appreciate multi's but i'm not a multi hunter.
