Almost Famous is damn impressive

Almost Famous is one of the best, most ambitious songs Eminem has done. The scope of the song is huge. You have a fully developed concept, an intro, 3 epic long verses, a beat that fits the song well and a fantastic chorus.

I love how well executed the whole thing is. The style is like a marriage between the old, more narrative based Eminem with the current energetic, punchline heavy Eminem. The story is easy to follow, and the lyrics that go along with it to describe it are kick-fucking-ass.

"Low on the totem till he showed 'em defiance, giant scrotum."

"Get your brains blown out
That's what I call blowing your mind
When I come back
Like nut on your spine"

"Now get off my dick, dick’s too short of a word for my dick
Get off my antidisestablishmentarianism you prick!"

Out there, funny, and something that only Eminem could think of. So good. The whole thing is a lyrical onslaught, and it's really impressive how he put the punchlines to use here; they all pretty much make sense in the context of the song.

Also, like the accent in Stay Wide Awake, I think the "screaming" works perfectly here because it conveys a maniacal, hungry Eminem just like the story of the song goes.

I think I once called this song overrated, but I eat my words. Even if it's not in my Top 10 Recovery songs, I can't help but be impressed every time I hear it.

I'd put the song in the top 5 songs in recovery..It's just the hook I don't like...Some droning random bitch no one knows about singing with the vocals distorted..

it is not that creepy as "25 To Life" but i like them both .
