Am I odd that I write my songs in reverse? Before I make the beat I usually write. It's because I don't often have the chance to sit down and make beats, but I can write when/where ever. I know usually, most people write the lyrics after they have a beat.

I usually do this, and I prefer doing it too because if I have verses down already, I can just alter the flow to match the beat which usually isn't hard. It really depends on the beat you're on, because there are a lot of different flows you could experiment with, I've noticed.

Yes and no. Flows are rhyming consistently like that, but staying on-key as well. You know how singers sing off-key if they don't really know the notes they have to sing? Kinda like that.

Yeah, basically flowing well is making sure it doesn't sound off-key, and rhyme schemes manipulate your flow. That's why every syllables usually counts.


Like OVER the mic, or protecting it? 'Cause I know there are Pop Filters you can get/make for $10 or so.

You can use Panties around a round ring as a pop filter.
