I write kinda the same way, except I have a shit ton of little squiggles all over the pages because when I can't think of a rhyme I just doodle until the shit comes to me.

I'll be posting my sheet soon, but imgur is being a faggot.

I swear, I've been writing like that since before I read The Way I Am (didn't read it till mid 2010), back when I first started in late 2009 after Refill leaked I wanted to do something over Music Box (it sucked), I just started writing in fragments of 2 or 4 bars. Back then I didn't really have good coherence so I just wrote a few bars here and there on the paper then threw it together afterwards randomly. Now I have a much better feel for what should go where.

Same. I started writing that way because I woke up at night with an idea, and scribbled it on a paper, and the next day I just wrote the rest of the track around it.

As I said here, when I am writing it in rough, the bottom page is filled with ideas about things that I want to write. The topmost area is filled with bars to the actual verse. I don't know, always liked doing it systematically.

That's the shortcut to writing, but it doesn't help when you decide to write pre-determined thoughts, end result: fucked up phrasing, meaningless rhymes...IMO.

I wrote this verse for a song with my friend, he never finished his verse. I liked it when I wrote it, now, not so much.


I wrote this one sometime last year, early in the school year. The black had a bunch of shit to be written over Things Get Worse, and the blue was just something I had written in about 10 minutes.

Haha that's nice. The way the shit is all over the page is not entirely like, but is similar, at least to me, to the way Em does it lol, except his handwriting when he does that is microscopic.
