At the moment I'm "enjoyin" 'Crime and Punishment' [ ] and it's said there that commiting a crime can be justified in certain cases..

Basically it's about the fact that you can divide people in two groups: people who are 'special' in some way and their crime is justified and 'ordinary' people, who should just shut the fuck up and do not commit crimes.

People from the first group - 'special' ones are for example people like Napoleon or any other 'great' unit. Actually, you cannot say they commited crimes directly, cause they didn't. But it was the only way to achieve what they have achieved..

I think it's kinda fucked up, cause now we're like "omg, he was great!!", but we forgot about the fact that their greatness is in 90% connected with wars and killing innocent people.. But I got used to the fact the world ain't normal.. Hope you got my point lol ^^

I dont think that any cxrime can be justified. Especially mass killing of ppl. It is beside the point what they achieve to what crime they commited even though sometimes its related. Eg death of 100 000s to build great wall of china. Even though it was a wonder of the world and the only thing ppl can see from the moon to earth it still cant be justified for the death of so many to build it.

^ Basically it's what I think, cuz mass killing of people is just sick.. And no one did judge Napoleon or whoever else for what they have done.. Now we say they were great because they achieved a lot, but honestly, in my opinion, it ain't true - they wouldn't have achieved it without death of millions..

It`s justified in some cases. Have you ever seen a movie called "A Time To Kill" With Samuel L Jackson and MAtthew Mc Connaghey.

Jackson`s little girl is gang raped by some white kids in a racist american town. His character Kills them before it goes to trial, knowing they`ll never be convicted. THAT, is justice!!

I dont expect people to always be judged fairly but wat amazes me most is how much jail time is given for petite crimes like elligal piracy.


I heard that "pirates" can get up to 10 years in prison, wich is almost the same as child rapists.


The system is definately not fair, coorporations are to often put in high priority..

Well i heard what they do to rapists in prison, so i believe its more interesting to let them endure the long stay in the jailcell.

Actually, most rapists are put in with rapists, so, the prison stay is nothing horrific.

Never been to jail, but i've heard that if you're a child rapist, pedo or you commited a crime connected with harming a child, you've fucked up life there..

But basically I agree with Fordie, cuz castration would be nice idea, although it wouldn't let the kid forget about it..

This kind of sick justice although its good in my opinion only gives countries bad names and spurs civil hatred towards the goverment. I belive that jails are jails i highly doubt any one is sent there devided into murderers and thieves they all share the same rooms, so they prolly have it hard enough.

Prisons are decent punishment no doubt, but there are people that commit minor crime, and those people might die or get raped there, its kind of unfair if so to speak.


The modern society doesnt even discourage crime, only tries to get more people into jail. >_>

^ It kinda sucks, cuz when you have stolen a car it's not that serious as if you had raped 10yrs old girl. So although being a thief is a bad thing, I still think they shouldn't be put all together.. There should be special prisons for people who commitet let's say umm.. less serious crime like burglary, shoplifting or bribery - they usually get like few months.. But when you're a convict with life sentence for rape or murder.. Such person should be isolated I think..
