The Hunger Games Series

Postby Robbie G » Aug 26th, '12, 06:16

Has anybody read any of these books? I just finished the third book and I loved the trilogy. I thought Collins did a great job of creating likable characters and putting them into relevant and interesting situations. I don't want to give away any spoilers but the ending left me...well unsatisfied. It seemed abrupt and didn't really give closure for a lot of the characters.

Hopefully I'm not the only guy on the forum who's read these books haha.

I've read the first book for school then saw the movie. It's pretty darn good, actually. I wasn't expecting to like it very much, I thought it would be another Twilight: cheesy and made for teenage girls. I was pleasantly surprised; it's actually very intriguing.

I just bought the last two books and I'm already starting to read the second.

You should. I'm still on the first one (been reading it off and on) but I'm almost done and it really is a great book. Even though I knew what happens it still keeps me interested whenever I do read it.

I actually bought the trilogy like 2 weeks ago. I had The Hunger Games on e-book around a year ago and I was really enjoying it. Although for some reason I never bothered finishing it.

I'm currently reading Perfect People by James Peter, so when I finish that I'll probably start The Hunger Games again.

It's nice to see there's other readers on the forum. :y:

On book 2. This one is just as addicting than the first one. I swear I must've read at least half of it yesterday.

It is

@Hage: After just getting done with the first book not too long ago, I'll have to say they leave a bunch of shit out. Granted, they were incredibly faithful to the book but they obviously couldn't fit everything in or the movie would have been too long. The book is most certainly better than the movie though, since you actually get to know what Katniss is thinking and everything.
