The Ring

i know i'm really late on this one, but GOD DAMN, this movie is messed up foreal. i got fucked up ten minutes in, that first victim's mom was like "I saw her face" and they cut to a flash back of her opening the closet door to see her daughter completely rotted and whatnot. it lasted two seconds but that was enough to stick lolll.
what do yall think? i remember when it first came out everyone talking about it, i def see the hype

These are my favorite types of horror films. Blood/gore has never really done it for me, outside of the recent chainsaw massacre film. But these japanese fucks find angles of scaring you that you've never thought of. And I think that's where the fun comes from, because you're mixing freight with curiosity/interest. They make you want to see what's behind the door as opposed to making the character who's going in seem retarded.

loll i'm saying bruh, its not alfred hitchcock subtle but the creepyness is tangible. i also notice japanese film makers love the mat of black hair covering the killer's face - they used that same look in The Grudge (which wasn't as good as this one)

I remember watching the ring for the first time in the cinema, almost noone there. At first we were laughing, then we were so damn scared...but the worst part was sleep that night. I had that noise stuck in my head. I think after that movie I'm immune to other terror movies.

I don't know what they have , but japanese terror movies are the most scary . I will never look extra-long black hair women with the same eyes again.
