Almost Famous

It's a great song. Probably the best on Recovery.

But one thing is bothering me. When Em goes "Whooa" on the chours I imagine him going down a rollercoaster. I always laugh now when I hear the chorus.

Nah his additions to the chorus, while in actuality being almost nothing, they made the hook a lot better. and yes its arguably the best on recovery i agree

It's a great song, but it's far to be the song of Recovery (to me).

This statement annoys me more and more every time I see it. Why do fans have to compare literally everything he does now to him in his prime? It's a great song, just leave it at that, you don't have to bring up his prime.

I agree to some extent. I mean how can you really speak about his "prime" when his career isn't over? But at the same time, in terms of popularity and un-touchability it was def mmlp/devils night/tes/8 mile era.

But its fucked up because of the shit back then cause no one will diss him, which makes me wonder if he made the warning simply to diss someone.

I like it, but it's not in my top 5 from Recovery.

Really? :-k I guess that is good for Recovery then, having a wide variety of top 5's.

Yeah. I mean, there are a lot of great lines. Actually, it's the best "punchline" song I've heard from Eminem. The tac one, the mini me's one, and the one you posted are really great.

However to me, it lacks replay value.. I don't like the beat and the hook is okay but I don't like it either.

However, I love 25 To Life, Seduction, Space Bound, Untitled (I've been bumping it like crazy) and GTC more. That would be my top 5.

I think Almost Famous is a good song, but not great. It's in the top half of recovery for me, but not top 5. With all the hate (some (maybe most) of it definitely deserved) for em's punchlines, I don't get why this song gets a pass.

taddeh approves of almost famous

Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric

Its my favorite song on the album along with Untitled.I like the aggressive EM the most and on those 2 he goes all out.His voice and delivery on both songs are great.
The hook on AF is okey, the verses are 10 out of 10.
Cold Wind Blows is also one of my favorites, the hook is awsome and lyrics are funny.
Cry babies, maybe my way that i use words is loose
but you turds better be careful how you choose yours
Cause feelings scar, but egos bruise worse
And the truth hurts, shit no wonder youre sore losers

I think I would like AF more if Em didn't do that 'Whoooaaaa-hooooo' thing during the chorus. As it stands, I only like the ending portions of each verse.

I actually think the same about the chorus thing but that wasn't enough to totally ruin the song for me.
It's solid IMO.

see i liked his little addition to the chorus, almost makes it sound like he is there just waiting in the booth between verses, building suspense
