Well I love the fact he's mentioning hip-hop themes more often (other rappers, The Source etc.), just feels more authentic and like he's saying his piece on things relevant to the culture, rather than shoving shit up asses which realistically is fairly useless, despite me loving Relapse to death.
And I love the fact he shows no signs of laying off the gas in terms of pushing the rhyme schemes and flows to new heights, he's REALLY focused on words and rhymes again, which is the main thing for me. Which is also why I'm so 'anti-inrospection', as when he gets into that state of just documenting his life, he writes himself into a corner and lyricism takes a back seat to the drama.
There was a point (Encore) where he stopped caring about the rhymes and his lyrics so much because it became all about settling scores and telling us something about his life... which to me is boring. First and foremost, he's a lyricist, who's capable of re-defining the boundaries every time he puts pen to paper, so it's just a fucking waste if he isn't constantly trying to do that, but rather just recounting an experience or telling us why he's had a bad day, at the expense of what he does best.
