I wasn't impressed with TASM. Didn't really like it at all. Hated The Lizard. Lizard is suppose to be a villain you feel sorry for. Lizard isn't suppose to talk at all really.

I am excited for TASM2 because the suit is awesome, Rhino, Jamie Foxx, and Woodley as MJ.

I semi agree with this. I think they were hesitant to go into a deep backstory with Connors after what happened with Sandman in SM3. But they do still give him a lot of humanizing traits, and his character fits the overall theme of the story really well.

I think Woodley's gonna be a great MJ, I'm surprised to see the hate for her. I think fans of the 616 have expected her to be a model, even though Woodley's pretty attractive.

Sandman wasn't the problem with Spider-Man 3. Sandman was perfect in my mind. He was a villain that the audience could feel sorry for and hate at the same time after finding out he was the one who killed Uncle Ben. The problem with Spider-Man 3 was the black suit and Venom. Sony forced Sam Raimi to include Venom. Sam didn't want to but Sony forced him. The film should have ended with Peter taking off the black suit in the church and Brock below turning into Venom so the next film would have Venom for the whole film instead of 20 minutes.

I hate all the hate Woodley has gotten. There was photos of her arriving on set, no filming with no makeup on and everyone on CBM starting hating on her it was stupid. I wrote an article defending her hoping fanboys would get the point but they are stupid. They all want the red hot model MJ but the way they are going thats not the best way. Since Gwen will die, MJ needs to be the one to pick up Peter. To motivate him and to get him past the death of Gwen. MJ needs to be deeper than just some hot model with tits like some fanboys think. I think Woodley will do great. There hasn't been a more hated casting in a comic book film since probably Ledger's Joker and look how that turned out.

While I agree that Sandman wasn't the problem with SM3, I hated how they treated his backstory. Really, I'm fine with making him as human as possible. That's something I thought the first two films did really well. It was the sub-thread of Sandman's involvement with Uncle Ben's death that bothered me. It just seemed so unecessary; essentially it served as a poor connection from Spider-Man to Sandman. They could have developed Sandman perfectly if not for that, in my opinion.

And yeah, I've seen a lot of comparisons in terms of debate over casting choice with Woodley and Ledger. While it's almost impossible for the former to be as impactful as the latter, I think Woodley's gonna be great. Some set photos of her and Gwen leaked today, I'm interested to see how their relationship develops and if there's any hints at a future relationship between Peter and MJ before Gwen dies.

EDIT: I hated how they treated Venom in that film. That's my all time favorite villain and he probably had 15 minutes of screen time. I give props to Raimi for pulling the film together as well as he did, it was a favorite of mine growing up. He's a great director for sure, I was initially dissapointed the studio basically forced him out.
