Depends how you say "prayer." If you have an accent, or if you're saying it quick enough, it'd come out as "Prair." But, I pronounce "prayer" as "PRAY-er," so it's two syllables for me.

i say prayer, as one syllable all the time. as do songs and such.
i actually find it odd to say it as two syllable...

Prayer and air rhyme perfectly from where Ray's from, people don't say "prayer" as "pray-er" that much, it's more like "prair".
