Scary Movie 5 > Haunted House

So, when Haunted House came out, my dad ordered it on the tv, i think i watched maybe the 1st 15-20 minutes before i got uncomfortable and left the room.

Scary Movie 5 hit theatres this weekend, me, my dad, and sis went to watch it, the awkward thing is, both movies have the exact same plot line/idea, but Scary Movie 5 did it better,

it does piss me off that my dad basically paid for the same movie twice, he got ripped off, big time, the only difference between Haunted House and Scary Movie 5 is the fact that the main characters in 1 is black actors, while the other has white main scaracters, other than that, both have the same exact plot line involving filming in a new house with ghosts.

even funnier, the lead female roles in both movies go to actresses who played roles in kids shows when they were younger, only to grow up and want to star in something a little more spicy (involing sex)

No, I haven't seen scary movie 5 yet.

But haunted house was funny as shit, Marlon wayans can actually make a spoof, like the first two scary movies. The ones that were actually good.

Four was utter shit, then they bring back two dead characters, Lindsay Lohan... And Ashley tisdale who I don't mind but has never been funny.
They lose Anna faris, the best thing about the movies.

Do the exact same plot as haunted house which came first, except add non-horror movies like inception...

I have no interest in seeing the new Scary Movie. I did see A Haunted House, and I agree with Spyder. Dude can make a spoof, as proven by the first two scary movies. There's a decent story shins his spoofs, as opposed to a few sketch like scenes with childish humor. That's not to say A haunted house is a great film; it's not. But Scary Movie 5 takes everything wrong with the new "_____ Movie" movies and tries to soon horror in the process.

I want to see the new one but it probably sucks dick. I actually enjoy all of the Scary Movies and the 2nd was my least favorite.
