It's good, I just don't like the hook, it's really repetitive and it's not very exciting. He just says the same thing over and over and I find it boring. Also it's on arguably his best album and I'd much rather listen to other songs on the album, and other songs in his discography that deal with a similar subject matter such as 25 To Life.

For example, I love the Marshall Mathers LP and it's my favourite album in Em's discography but The Eminem Show is his most complete album as an artist.

Well he said he thinks it's boring and that he doesn't like the hook and then mentions 25 To Life which has an incredibly annoying hook and one of the worst beats ever lol. I just don't see how someone would rather listen to 25 over hollywood.

Say Goodbye to Hollywood has some of his best verses, 25 To Life is incredibly unoriginal and generic.

Beat: 25 To Life - because looking at SGH's beat, it pales in comparison to the other far more superior, similar sounding beats of TES. 25 To Life sounds fresh from an Eminem perspective.

This all comes down to personal preference and doesn't usually change what I think of a song, but really? The 25 To Life beat is incredibly poppy and almost technoish, Say Goodbye To Hollywood at least had an interesting beat.

Lyrics: 25 To Life - Not because of multies, or whatever you wanna argue with me about, but because the whole song, the ENTIRE song, has a double meaning. "jealous when I spend time with the girls" could be referring to other women when talking about the girl 25 To Life is about, or about his daughters, since it's about Hip-Hop. That's just one example. SGH has some really lazy lines like the one I mentioned earlier in the thread, "forced us to live alienated" - the first half of it drags and flows awfully.

Okay now I find this ridiculous. Multies are incredibly overrated so I don't care much about that but most of the writing on 25 To Life is very lazy ("planet, ran it" comes to mined, the step part), while on Say Goodbye To hollywood his technical skill is there while not deteriorating the actual lyrics.

Aside from the incredibly unoriginal content (it's one of the most overused concepts in hip hop), he doesn't even pull it off. You can't give away the premise halfway through the damn song. Did you not know what he was talking about after the not loyal part..?

And no, the song doesn't have a double meaning, it's pretty obvious what he meant. He's rapping about hip hop, the jealous when I spend time with the girls part means that fans or whatever don't want him doing anything else other than releasing music but that part is pretty redundant.

Voice - Tie. Both are equally passionate.

Nah I never said the rhyming was lazy. Just the flow on some lines. Rhymes on both songs are impressive but the fact that 25 To Life all has a double meaning puts it higher on my list in terms of what's more impressive to me.
