Lol I dont think he was aiming for "cute" when he grew out his beard.
It was a symbol for "I dont give a fuck, this is me and if it doesnt suit you, fuck off. Im Catfish Billy!"
Now, I believe he only needed that as a phase to show he isnt going to be "radioactive" anymore.
The beard and the whole "not giving a fuck" attitude isnt needed anymore, he can pull the music of without looking like a crackdealer from the woods of Alabama.
Being such a big fan of Yelawolf as I am I can say that he looked better before he had the beard, but it was a cool look for a while. He looked like a fucking lion lol.

Ive tried to sport a beard, but I cant pull it of yet. Im 22 but my fagget body hasnt given a fuck about growing a proper beard for me.
