I read a lot of comics though, so my image of Batman/Bruce Wayne is much different than the one Bale portrayed.

Plus, the voice didn't help at all

I was going to bring that up. I too read the comics. I know Bale is definitely not the standard Batman size. Tom Hardy would be a good size (bulk wise) and a Bane would probably have to be like 2 1/2 Brock Lesners.

I'll tell you this though, I thought Bale was a great Bruce Wayne, the image, attitude, charisma.

I 100% agree about the voice, hated that constipated voice. But for Bale it was a neccessity because he doesn't have that deep/dark voice Batman possesses which was a negative but he couldn't have been Batman using his casual voice. I loved him as Batman though.

Bale #1 forever.

And actually I was also referring to the image, attitude, charisma, as well as size. It wasn't my ideal Batman like it is yours.

Add that with the fact that he couldn't do a decent Batman impression, you'll understand why I wasn't feeling it.

EDIT: I didn't actually mind his size, now that I think about it. It was just his performance I wasn't feeling. (I guess he could have been taller??????)

My bad, I automatically associated great with ideal, because like you said, Batman is pretty hard to pull off. (I'm actually not that much of a nitpicker)

But, yeah.. I just didn't feel the same. That's why I'm excited for a new Batman tbh.

In Comics, he's(Bruce) a very complicated, self absorbed person who lives in the flashbacks of his past and actually learns from them. In all the Movies that Bale did, nothing like that was portrayed. He was shown as just a simple guy. He wasn't given the opportunity to explore the depth of Bruce himself, let alone Batman. In all the previous Movies that came before it portrayed him perfectly. Bale didn't impress me that much, even though he was capable of doing that. A new face will do wonder, trust me.

I'll agree that Bale was a great Bruce Wayne.. but Batman? nope.. just my opinion anyway..

anyway.. I don't think the idea of having them both in the same movie is a good idea.. not yet anyway. like someone else pointed out.. they should have a superman sequel or two first.. not just jump into this 2 in 1 idea.

Bale was great

And he used the voice so people didn't relate him to Wayne. I always wondered why no one else did that in superhero movies. When they did it in this one I was like thank the fucking lord someone has common sense lol
