I saw American Hustle a couple nights ago. I'm a huge David O. Russell fan and unsurprisingly, he's delivered another winner. What a fantastic ensemble cast. If forced to choose, I'd say Jennifer Lawrence was the standout and I'd love to see her win an Oscar two years in a row, but everybody is so fucking good, including Louis CK's quietly scene-stealing deadpan turn as Bradley Cooper's frustrated FBI boss. The film itself starts a bit slowly, but it quickly picks up the pace and becomes impossible to look away from. It also features a killer soundtrack. Hustle is an extremely competent Martin Scorsese impression and I recommend it to all of TRShady, not just my fellow film geeks.

Yeah American Hustle was an amazing movie. Christian Bale was the standout for me but Jennifer Lawrence was also incredible.

I just saw One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Such a special movie. I don't know how to describe it but when you watch it you know you just saw a classic. The characters are so crazy and it keeps you watching with great interest from the beginning to the end. Louise Fletcher was great. The movie was a true work of art.

Watched 2001: A Space Odyssey to continue my Kubrick binge. I think it's probably the most endearing movie I've ever seen, and having revisited it a couple times now, it's definitely one of my all time favorites.

Yeah that's one of my favorite movies. Very thought-provoking.

Speaking of thought-provoking I just happened to see Reservoir Dogs. Some really cool scenes and some funny dialogue. Very clever but I can't say it's one of my favorites by Tarantino. Well, I've only seen a few of his movies but I would definitely put Pulp Fiction above it. It's an interesting movie though. I'm still thinking about it.

Death Proof

Good movie yet the last 20 minutes were the coolest part of the movie for me. The first 90 minutes weren't terrible at all just not one of Tarantino's best... Actually it's probably my least favorite by him but I still haven't seen Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.
