I like the 3ds but its a handheld

The wii u also has a type of controller that's like a handheld

Depends. The 3ds has more games out right now but if theres a lot of n64 and snes games you didn't play you can get them on wii u. And Wii u has better games coming out for it later this year and next year.

I traded in my Wii U for the 3DS so I hope my answer is obvious. Just far better games.
