No. It's one of the strongest in a long time. You have a lot of potential franchise players in the top 10. It's a strong draft class. Embiid, Parker, Exum, Wiggins, Randle, Smart... All potential All-stars if not superstars.

I think the Lakers should draft Embiid, then sign Kevin Love in 2015. Embiid/Love front-court would be devastating. Plus Kobe on the wing with Kendall Marshall or Farmar running point. Bazemore at SF. Whew.

Why is that? A lot of the prospects either are ridiculously talented already or their upside is promising while still being able to contribute right away. It's a deep draft class. :\

It's deep but the top picks don't matter because the players ranked below them are just as good. So having a top pick in this years draft isn't anything to get excited about because there isn't any significantly good player that'll make a difference.

The top prospects are better than the 10+ or 20+ picks. That's going to be obvious with any draft (some exceptions like Ginobili or Redd, they are gems). I'd rather have a top 5 pick than a 6-10 pick.

If the Lakers get any one of the following, they WILL make a difference next year.

Randle
Parker
Smart
Vonleh

Define "difference" lol. Obviously the Lakers are going to have a better record next year if they get a top 5 pick.
